Discover inside our favourite pesto, cheeses, typical Sicilian condiments with a Strazzanti cotton tote bag so you can Aperitivo at home or al fresco!

Classically the Aperitivo hour in Italy is between 7pm – 9pm just before you dive into your main meal for the evening. It’s a great way to whet your appetite before the show stopping main course, or enjoy as light savoury nibbles and snacks with friends and family anytime of day. This also makes a unique gift idea.

Sicilian Pesto Trapanese, our signature pesto from our Supper Clubs originates from Trapani in the West coast of Sicily. The pesto is rich in Sicilian almonds, using 5 varieties of heirloom almonds from Val di Noto, which are paired together with basil, garlic, capuliatu tomatoes & pecorino cheese roughly blitzed to the perfect texture. Simply serve on bruschetta or mix through cherry tomatoes and scoop up with bread!

U Capuliatu, a Sicilian minced sundried tomato, intensely dried by the Sicilian sun and rehydrated in Sicilian extra virgin olive oil from the Iblei mountains and then infused with a hint of fresh basil. Eat straight out of the jar or add onto bread or pane Carasau from our Sardinian friends. Also ideal as a condiment for mixing through salads, pasta and sauces to uplift any dish!

Caponata Siciliana, the classic sweet and sour vegetable mix consisting of plump Sicilian aubergine, sweet peppers, tart olives and savoury onions all combined with a rich yet subtle sweet and sour tomato sauce. Every Sicilian family has their own version, ours for example has no raisins inside (as Sofia doesn’t like them)! Take out of the jar for 30 minutes to breathe and serve as part of an Aperitivo with burrata cheese or pecorino cheese and scoop up with crusty bread. Ideal to serve alongside grilled tuna and swordfish too.

Sicilian Pecorino, honey and oregano, a tart, salty and crumbly cheese drizzled with a sweet rich honey infused with floral Sicilian oregano. We love to serve it with Pane Carasau Spicchio, a traditional crisp bread from our friends in Sardinia. The perfect flavour combination that goes wonderfully with a glass of Prosecco!
